This project will continue the momentum for accreditation and quality improvement (QI) through shared learning. The primary deliverable will be four Open Forum meetings--two in 2013 and two in 2014--starting in June 2013, to provide a venue for members of the public health practice community to share lessons learned through their efforts to achieve accreditation and implementation of QI in public health. The National Network of Public Health Institutes (NNPHI) will continue to plan the meetings in coordination with the Robert Wood Johnson Foundation and other national public health partners. NNPHI will provide travel and lodging support to 130 of the 250 participants per meeting, disseminate meeting materials and selected presentations online after the meeting, and evaluate the meetings. NNPHI will also host one-day QI training workshops for up to 50 participants in conjunction with the Open Forum meetings. This grant also supports NNPHI's management of an advisory panel for the development, implementation and sustainability of the online Public Health Quality Improvement Exchange, PHQIX.org. Through these activities, NNPHI will continue to increase and advance the community of practice in public health for accreditation and quality improvement.
