Accelerating successful, innovative, patient-centered payment and delivery-system reforms

This funding will support the Network for Regional Healthcare Improvement (NRHI) and selected consultants to join with AcademyHealth in work to support the Robert Wood Johnson Foundation's efforts to learn from, manage, and maximize the impact of its payment-reform projects. In particular, NRHI will: (1) help plan meetings and webinars; (2) develop short, easy-to-use, how-to guides on topics of payment and health care delivery reforms; (3) identify and develop solutions to barriers to progress in implementing payment reform; (4) advise the Foundation on potential directions for future programming; and (5) provide technical assistance to payment-reform grantees. The NRHI staff will work as part of an integrated team with AcademyHealth staff to carry out the functions described above. Deliverables will include the how-to guides, analyses of barriers to implementing payment reform, and technical assistance.
