Engaging an executive-search firm to find an executive director for the Health Data Consortium

Under this contract, the executive search firm Egon Zehnder International will refine and articulate criteria for an executive director for the Health Data Consortium, which promotes and accelerates the innovative use of health data, and conduct a search to fill that position. Specific tasks for Egon Zehnder will include meeting with representatives from the Consortium's executive committee to discuss candidate/position specifications and search strategy and criteria; drafting final position specifications; identifying target industries, companies and sources; contacting sources and candidates and interviewing relevant candidates; presenting profiles of potential candidates to the executive committee; conducting competency-based interviews to assess potential candidates and to develop a short list of candidates; providing detailed assessments of short-list candidates; supporting the client's interview and decision-making processes; conducting and interpreting any desired, relevant psychometric assessments; helping to structure the appropriate offer; presenting the offer to the selected candidate and negotiating to closure; conducting in-depth reference verification; supporting the executive committee and candidate through integration; and conducting periodic follow-ups, as appropriate. The Foundation expects this work to take four to six months.
