Constructing a case study of Public/Private Ventures' operational closure and completing its work on benchmarking and scaling

This grant will continue work that the Robert Wood Johnson Foundation (RWJF) funded Public/Private Ventures (P/PV) to perform, but that ceased due to its dissolution in July 2012. This grant has three elements: first, a report on the state of the field on the practice of using metrics and measurement systems to compare and improve performance and service delivery (benchmarking); second, two papers on the practice of scaling and how the field evaluates scale; and, third, a case study detailing the dissolution of P/PV. Deliverables will include webinars, presentations and papers based on the scaling work and dissolution case study, and a report to RWJF on the benchmarking work.
