This grant provides additional non-lobbying resources to the 10 State Health Reform Assistance Network (State Network) states to help them implement the coverage provisions of the Affordable Care Act (ACA). The goal is to meet the needs of the State Network states and to quickly and efficiently get them needed resources that are outside the scope of the in-kind technical assistance that is already provided through the State Network. The deliverables for this project range from direct support for state staffs, policy analyses, stakeholder engagement, funding for contractors to facilitate meetings, to document reviews. Any assistance on specific legislation will either: (1) satisfy the legal requirements of nonpartisan research and analysis, or (2) be provided in response to a written request for technical assistance. In addition, the State Network's national program office (NPO) will provide periodic updates to the Foundation on how the funds are being used and will discuss any issues that arise.
