It does so in part to honor the legacy of its founder, and in part to recognize the special responsibilities to the communities and the state in which it is located. This grant supports the New Brunswick Development Corporation (Devco) in advancing activities in real estate planning and redevelopment in New Brunswick, N.J. More specifically, the 2012 and 2013 priories include: (1) predevelopment and initial site work required for Rutgers University's College Avenue Campus Redevelopment Initiative; (2) preparation of the Roosevelt Hospital Complex Master Plan, to determine the most valuable redevelopment use; and (3) completion of Wellness Plaza, a full-service supermarket and fitness center. Devco will also continue to offer technical assistance in real estate development to area nonprofit groups and institutions.
