The Foundation's program, New Jersey Health Initiatives (NJHI), was designed to support projects in New Jersey that develop new approaches to resolving the state's health and health care needs, focusing on the Foundation's goal areas.This grant supports technical assistance and direction (TAD) for the National Program Office (NPO), which is located at Rutgers/ Camden. Management and technical assistance provided by the NPO includes program development, proposal solicitation, review and selection; selection and monitoring site visits; technical assistance to applicants and NJHI grantees; assessment of grantee performance; communications and outreach; dissemination of program results; and other related activities. As of August 1, 2012, the NJHI portfolio will have 31 active projects. Over this next TAD year, the NPO will complete assessment and implementation planning to bring the "Reclaiming Futures" national program model to New Jersey and will issue one new call for proposals under the annual responsive grant making -- now at the conceptual stage of development.
