Supporting the Youth Transition Funders Group's program to prepare young people for adulthood, 2012-2013

This grant supports efforts of the Youth Transition Funders Group (YTFG) to connect young people ages 14 to 24 to support systems. YTFG works with more than 100 funders across the country that support youths. They provide technical assistance and support collaboration among their members to build a collective understanding of how a multisystem approach can produce desired youth outcomes. This project will focus on three core objectives: (1) elevating the dialogue on crosscutting issues through action-group meetings, regular communications with members, and online social networking; (2) supporting funder collaboration by cultivating relationships among members and identifying opportunities for collaborative investments; and (3) expanding the YTFG framework in the philanthropic and public sectors. Deliverables will include: (1) increased participation of YTFG members; (2) a 20 percent increase in communications and interactions with key allies; and (3) increased coordinated funding among members.
