This grant will allow Community Catalyst to bring together business leaders from Massachusetts to share lessons from their involvement with Chapter 58, the Massachusetts health reform law. Community Catalyst will work to bring together key members of the Massachusetts business community, including Massachusetts Business Roundtable, Massachusetts Taxpayers Foundation, Greater Boston Chamber of Commerce and Associated Industries of Massachusetts, to articulate the benefits of reform in the state and to engage executives from Massachusetts-based businesses in an outreach effort. Deliverables will include talking points about how Massachusetts reform has benefited the business community in the state; a statement from executives in the state about the positive effects of Chapter 58; a speakers bureau that makes Massachusetts executives available to speak at events and directly to peers in other states; a proactive and reactive media strategy to share these lessons more broadly; and a national event where business leaders can share their story of being involved in the Massachusetts reform effort.
