The Robert Wood Johnson Foundation Clinical Scholars program was designed to augment clinical training by providing new skills and perspectives necessary to achieving leadership positions both within and outside the walls of academia in the 21st century. This grant supports the research projects and goals of RWJF first and second year scholars by funding stipends, fringe benefits, tuition, office operations, subject incentives, transcription/translation services, data set costs, meeting expenses, one computer per scholar per cohort, consultant honoraria/fees related to research projects, travel to the annual national meeting and scientific meetings, support of one- to three-month off-site policy electives, and indirect costs. VA scholars receive funds to support research expenses and travel. This grant supports three RWJF and three VA Scholars. Outside this grant, Penn is funding an additional two scholar positions (one position fully and one position joint Penn/VA).
