Advancing community preventive services by assessing interventions that affect health and developing an online resource for decision-makers
This grant supports activities to create a user-friendly resource for decision-makers to increase the implementation of evidence-based community interventions to improve health. This work will build upon several years of work with the Partnership for Prevention (Partnership) that was advised by the National Commission on Prevention Priorities. To accomplish this goal, the grantee will engage in three main activities: (1) conducting analyses of evidence-based interventions that build upon previous analytic work; (2) developing an online resource that enables users to determine which interventions are appropriate, given their resources, population composition, and desired impacts; and (3) promoting the resource through multiple methods of communication and dissemination, including, but not limited to, webinars, social media, and issue briefs. This work will expand on proof-of-concept work from a previous grant to the Partnership that determined the analytic feasibility of quantifying impacts of interventions to enable an end user to make comparisons across programs. HealthPartners Research Foundation will collaborate with the Partnership to accomplish this work. Deliverables will include additional analyses of evidence-based interventions, an online resource, and communication and dissemination products.
