The Robert Wood Johnson Clinical Scholars Program was designed to augment clinical training by providing new skills and perspectives necessary to achieving leadership positions both within and outside the walls of academia in the 21st century.This grant supports the technical assistance and direction activities of the Robert Wood Johnson Clinical Scholars National Program Office (NPO) at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill School of Medicine. During the period of this grant, the NPO will: (1) plan and execute the 2012 Clinical Scholars national research meeting and plan for the 2013 Meeting, (2) set up and facilitate 2012 site visits and oversee curricula development, (3) plan and execute 2012 Scholar selection meeting, (4) direct the 2014-2016 cohort application process, (5) maintain budgetary oversight of the training sites and NPO grants, (6) maintain the website and Clinical Scholars directory and pursue social networking, and (7) conduct program outreach. In addition, funds in this grant will support planning for the recompetition of the sites
