Strengthening journalists' coverage of health and health care issues and increasing understanding among the media of RWJF's work

This grant is for ongoing support of the Center for Excellence in Health Care Journalism (the Center) to provide journalists with professional development tools and resources to improve the quality, accuracy and relevance of coverage of health and health care issues. Specifically, it will support three key annual training events: (1) the conference of the Association of Health Care Journalists; (2) its Rural Health Journalism Workshop; and (3) the Center's fall regional workshop. This project will help further many of the Robert Wood Johnson Foundation's goals in improving the quantity and quality of health and health care reporting and improving awareness and understanding of the Foundation among the media.
