This grant supports staff at State Coverage Initiatives at AcademyHealth to work under the direction of Heather Howard and Chad Shearer at Princeton University in the administration and coordination of the Robert Wood Johnson Foundation's State Network program to provide technical assistance to 10 states in the implementation of the coverage provisions of the Affordable Care Act. This will include assessing resource gaps, understanding the nature of the technical support states will need, identifying experts to assist states, coordinating the work of these experts and their interactions with state officials, and working with experts to conduct webinars and small group convenings. Deliverables will include daily calls with Princeton University, calls with the different technical assistance providers and state project directors, summary reports of technical assistance provided and the resulting state progress, materials based on the work from participating states that can be used to help other states implement their coverage expansions, and an annual meeting of all 10 states in the summer of 2012.
