This grant supports communications-related activities for the Robert Wood Johnson Foundation's ChildObesity 180 (CO180) investment. CO180, a diverse, multisector team of leaders working to reverse the trend of childhood obesity, is committed to executing a portfolio of high-impact initiatives to positively influence children's energy balance throughout the course of a day. Communications goals include working with key stakeholders to build broader organizational awareness, understanding, and credibility for CO180 and its respective initiatives, and gaining recognition for the work done, progress made, and results achieved. This grant will also support a communications specialist to coordinate and oversee all CO180 communications and related initiatives. The communications specialist will work with the CO180 leadership team to manage the organization's internal and external communications plan, while also taking the lead on the integration and coordination of messaging and communications activities across all initiatives, to ensure a strategic and coordinated approach within the organization. The grant will further support maintenance of and minor enhancements to the new CO180 website. In addition, it will cover the development and dissemination of various materials and news releases related to the individual initiatives.
