The Foundation's program, Advancing Partners and Practice through Public Health Law, was designed to further build the field of public health law through enhancing communities of learning and practice. This project will provide consultation and coaching for training designed to facilitate the use of the law as a tool to improve public health, develop training tools, and create online modules that will support and supplement current national and regional activities related to public health law, in particular the activities of the Network for Public Health Law (Network). These training activities and tools will assist experts in public health law in maximizing the effectiveness of their training resources to reach broad and diverse audiences of practitioners of public health and related fields, lawyers and decision-makers, and will support practitioners or new trainers by developing effective training resources. The training modules will focus on key topics in public health law, drawing from the experience and expertise of the Network. The Network and the Northwest Center for Public Health Practice (Center) will develop these training activities, using the Center's experienced staff and its structured educational-design systems.
