The Partnership for a Healthier America (PHA) will develop a common vision, platform and plan of action to rally private-sector, nonprofit and philanthropic stakeholders to focus on concrete solutions to solve childhood obesity. PHA will broker and publicize 6 to 12 commitments from the private sector that will scale what works, drive core business change, adopt internal practice change, or catalyze innovation to have an impact on childhood obesity. It will enhance and coordinate strategies among key groups by targeting and tailoring efforts to the children, families and communities most at risk for obesity. PHA will increase its brand awareness through co-marketing campaigns, rolling out a seal of approval, and building a repository of recognizable agents to carry its message. PHA will develop, test and implement a financial-solvency plan that broadens the diversity of its financial supporters. Finally, PHA will release its inaugural report highlighting the advancements in and setbacks for commitments that its private-sector partners have made since PHA's inception in 2010.
