This grant will provide Digitalmill with an additional three years of declining support for the Games for Health Conference and support for an effort to conduct and make public early development work on health games for everyone (HG4E); that is, health games that can have a population-level impact. Although the health-games space has come a long way since the Robert Wood Johnson Foundation first got involved, the HG4E work in this project will help remove the risks to building such games by conducting initial development work and making that work available under a Creative Commons license, or something similar. Deliverables will include three Games for Health Conferences and preproduction materials, including relevant health content, game concepts, and recommended modifications to existing software, if necessary, for up to12 game areas, released publicly.
