Supporting the National Childhood Obesity Prevention Committee in accelerating action to prevent childhood obesity

Under this project, the redesigned National Childhood Obesity Prevention Committee will inform and support Robert Wood Johnson Foundation (RWJF) efforts to advance policy priorities and advocacy efforts with timely and authoritative scientific products and briefings. The National Committee will provide private briefings to advocacy organizations working with RWJF on childhood obesity prevention, as well as public briefings through workshops and updates on previous consensus reports. Deliverables will include one workshop summary, three update summaries, the briefings, and a summit designed to gain attention for committee recommendations. One longer report will address one of six RWJF childhood obesity policy priorities and utilize the Institute of Medicine's consensus-panel process.
