This grant supports two studies on how to implement evidence-based, violence-prevention practices and program models in the areas of teen-dating violence, youth violence or child trauma. The project team will identify ways to adapt these evidence-based practices to local circumstances, while being faithful to the core principles of the practices. Study 1 will explore factors related to adaptations and fidelity to program models from the perspectives of the developers, technical assistance providers, and practitioners. Study 2 will use what is learned in Study 1 to develop ways to support practitioners in improving implementation success. Deliverables will include a literature review; an expert panel's report; reports on Studies 1 and 2; and a future publication, tentatively titled Guidance for Achieving Implementation Success, for practitioners, developers and technical assistance providers.
