For 20 years, HomeFront has been a premier service provider to homeless families. In order to succeed, they must obtain all the tools, skills and supports that will enable them to move from dependency to self-sufficiency. For homeless and formerly homeless families, a major barrier they face is lack of access to existing local services and programs. If a program doesn't provide transportation, these families are not able to attend. Reliable transportation is the glue that holds it all together. The purchase of 18 vehicles will impact all HomeFront's programs, and will strengthen its infrastructure to meet the transportation needs of the families they serve. It will also allow these families to access services from other agencies. This grant enables HomeFront to continue to serve the most vulnerable populations in Central New Jersey.
