This grant supports the National Initiative for Children's Healthcare Quality (NICHQ) in continuing its work to mobilize health care professionals to champion policy and environmental changes to reduce childhood obesity. Specifically, NICHQ will expand the reach of its existing advocacy-training program through online training modules; enhance recruitment practices by partnering with national organizations and initiatives; and pilot test a technical assistance approach, enabled by information technology, to maintain the interest and participation of health care professionals (HCPs) in this work. Project deliverables will include at least 500 trained HCPs; enhanced online training modules; and additional partnerships that connect HCPs to other national initiatives and organizations in childhood obesity prevention.
