Robert Wood Johnson Foundation Center to Prevent Childhood Obesity
This Center, led and housed at the Arkansas Center for Health Improvement, has engaged its strategic partner, PolicyLink, to collaboratively carry out several formative and fundamental tasks. Tasks completed in year three include opening an office in Washington, D.C., hosting the center's first regional technical assistance meeting in Nashville, Tennessee, and assisting the Houston Endowment in development of a local community initiative targeting childhood obesity. Tasks in this final grant include hosting a second regional technical assistance meeting in Newark, New Jersey, completing the Big Cities and state strategies, holding a final Program Director's Retreat and concluding the National Advisory Board. In addition, the Center will work with RWJF staff to transfer all activities to RWJF.
