This project will establish and pilot a new Center for Digital Information (CDI) based at the Annenberg School for Communication, University of Pennsylvania, to support digital innovation in the field of policy research. CDI will establish and model best practices in the production of digital information; convene practitioners, stakeholders and distributors of policy research; and serve as a resource to policy researchers, research organizations and their funders in a rapidly evolving digital landscape. Deliverables will include: (1) two interactive models of new ways to use digital media to communicate health policy research; (2) a Changing Digital Information Landscape Roundtable for staffs of foundations and policy researchers to consider new trends, best practices, technological breakthroughs and challenges, and their implications for funders and distributors of policy research; (3) a CDI launch event for the policy research field, philanthropists and technology leaders; and (4) a CDI website, digitalinfo.org, that will feature a searchable showcase of innovative presentations of policy information and a dashboard for policy information that will draw on the latest data on digital technology and information.
