The Foundation's initiative, Mobilizing Action Toward Community Health (MATCH), was designed to help communities translate the County Health Rankings into multisector action that addresses the social, economic, environmental and behavioral factors that affect health. This grant supports Community Catalyst in developing and delivering technical assistance on policy advocacy to the Robert Wood Johnson Foundation (RWJF) MATCH initiative community grantees. Community Catalyst will work collaboratively with the University of Wisconsin Population Health Institute (UWPHI) to form the MATCH Center, of which UWPHI is the lead organization. The technical assistance will be flexible, responsive, and balanced between technology-based distance learning (webinars, web tools, virtual plenary) and face-to-face interaction (individualized TA, affinity groups, and annual meetings). Community Catalyst will be responsible for the Community Grants review process in 2011 and for developing and leading the Community Grants solicitation and selection process in 2012. UWPHI and the MATCH Policy Advocacy Lead are expected to work in close collaboration with each other and with the Foundation. Community Catalyst will engage UWPHI in the hiring process for the Project Director of the Policy Advocacy Lead.
