This grant supports an evaluation of the Robert Wood Johnson Foundation's State Health Reform Assistance Network (SHRAN). With the enactment of the Affordable Care Act (ACA) in March 2010, RWJF adopted a new strategic objective for its coverage work: to ensure that 95 percent of all Americans have stable and affordable health insurance coverage by 2020. Full realization of this objective will depend on the states' effective implementation of ACA coverage policies. Consequently, the RWJF Coverage team has developed SHRAN, an initiative to support ACA implementation in 10 target states. This evaluation will help the Foundation understand how its work is progressing and what sort of impact our programming is having in the states. The primary deliverable will be an annual report in the spring of 2012.
