The goal of this project is to establish an online dashboard on the Foundation's website (www.rwjf.org) for monitoring state-level changes in key measures of health and health care. The project will establish a system of priority measures within six domains (covering the uninsured; bringing down health care spending; improving quality, value and equality of health care; preventing disease and promoting healthier lifestyles; strengthening public health; and addressing the social determinants of health) that can be measured comparably across all 50 states and the District of Columbia over time. The dashboard will contribute to a better understanding of the nation's progress toward improving health and health care and the factors that contribute to that progress. It will also provide a tool to track progress on the key issues of concern for the Robert Wood Johnson Foundation. This work will be a key component of the Foundation's new Enterprise-level policy strategy.
