Developing a road map to advance evidence-based integration of mental health treatment with primary care
This grant supports the AIMS Center (Advancing Integrated Mental Health Solutions) at the University of Washington to hold a two-day summit in May 2011 to increase implementation of integrated mental health and primary health care services. The summit will: (1) examine the state of the science of integrated mental health research and programs; (2) review examples of research translation into practice; (3) review opportunities for promoting integrated mental health care within the context of health care reform and patient-centered medical homes; and (4) develop a road map for implementation. Deliverables will be the summit itself and the creation of working groups to build the road map for implementation.
