This grant supports the Health Improvement Collaborative of Greater Cincinnati, Minnesota Community Measurement and Wisconsin Collaborative for Healthcare Quality in a four-month planning and feasibility effort regarding a potential new cooperative effort. This effort will help these successful regional alliances and Aligning Forces for Quality (AF4Q) gather emerging regional expertise in topics that pertain to quality measurement and public reporting of those measures. If successful, the new cooperative will develop shared resources and increase the development and adoption of best practices related to data collection, aggregation, and standardized reporting of clinical quality data. This planning effort will help determine if such a new cooperative effort is feasible, refine a potential business model for such a model, and began to identify potential resources to create a new cooperative. The three regional alliance participants in this planning effort will provide learning and insight gathered from this project for the larger (AF4Q) initiative, so that all (AF4Q) alliances will have the opportunity to benefit from this planning exercise.
