This grant provides support to Georgetown University's Health Policy Institute (HPI) to research, draft and disseminate up to 10 issue briefs that will provide an overview, identify critical and timely policy questions, and provide recommendations for policies that will benefit consumers seeking adequate and affordable insurance coverage in the private insurance market. HPI will aim to release one to two publications each month, but will be ready to respond to audience demands for policy analysis that meets immediate implementation needs. This series of issue briefs will target federal and state policy makers working to implement the private-market portions of Affordable Care Act; national and state consumer-advocacy organizations; and reporters from major media outlets covering health issues.
