Developing an online simulation tool that will facilitate modifying social determinants to improve health outcomes
This project supports the building of an online tool that will illustrate the interconnections between social determinants and their effect on health. Steven H. Woolf, director of Virginia Commonwealth University's Center on Human Needs, will base the tool on one he previously created for the Commission to Build a Healthier America. This new tool will use multiple variables and datasets from the County Health Rankings. Deliverables for this project will be two versions of the tool timed to coincide with the 2011 and 2012 releases of the rankings.
