The Foundation's Harold Amos Medical Faculty Development Program was designed to provide four-year postdoctoral research awards offered to historically disadvantaged physicians who are committed to developing careers in academic medicine, to improving the health of underserved populations, and to furthering the understanding and elimination of health disparities.This grant supports continued technical assistance and direction for this Foundation program. The National Program Office will facilitate the selection of suitable candidates for the program, assist them during the course of their awards, provide awardees with career development opportunities, and maintain contact with alumni of the program.
