Under this grant, the Campaign for Tobacco-Free Kids (CTFK) will carry out communications and advocacy activities in support of tobacco-control policies in states and municipalities--with a focus on passing smoke-free-air laws. Deliverables will include polling and public-opinion research; public-education advertising and direct mail; policy reports and fact sheets; media relations, such as pitching news stories, writing op-eds and using social media; and Web content to support advocacy. CTFK will use no Foundation funds for lobbying. These activities will continue to leverage the Robert Wood Johnson Foundation's past health policy efforts to increase tobacco taxes and help smokers quit and will directly support the Foundation's current objective to have 75 percent of the public protected by smoke-free-air laws by 2011.
