Activities to promote excellence in philanthropy, 2009-2010

This grant supports the core functions of the Philanthropy Roundtable, including its annual and regional meetings and "Philanthropy" magazine, and permit expansion of the Roundtable's work to encourage its members' interest in health and health care issues. Deliverables will consist of: (1) four 40- to 50-page issues of "Philanthropy" magazine; (2) three articles on issues related to health care, which may include emergency preparedness, health care access for the uninsured, improvements in the quality of care, and philanthropic strategies for encouraging healthy lifestyles; (3) three sessions on health care topics at two regional meetings; and (4) a panel discussion on national health issues at the Roundtable's annual meeting.
