The Foundation's program, Catalyzing a Health Information Environment to Support Individuals and Families, was designed to expand the personal health records vision and encourage the market to develop a variety of products that will meet the diverse needs of patients. The University of Wisconsin-Madison is serving as the National Program Office for Project HealthDesign. The primary objectives for this technical assistance and direction grant are to: (1) manage a new grant competition and make recommendations for site awards; (2) develop subcontracts to support the program's needs for grantee collaboration, technology services, policy and communications initiatives, and regulation and assurances issues; (3) communicate the program's vision to policymakers and other thought leaders; and (4) continue transitional activities and services for the grantee products and artifacts created in the first round of Project HealthDesign grants. Deliverables include awarded grants, executed subcontracts, public presentations, and a functioning Web site of program products and artifacts.
