Launching Civic Ventures' Experience Corps program as an independent nonprofit organization
The purpose of this project is to help establish Experience Corps as an independent nonprofit organization and support a significant growth in the program's size and impact. The national school-based mentoring program, which matches senior volunteers with at-risk children ages 5 to 12, has achieved considerable success over the past 10 years. Evaluation results show strong benefits for both vulnerable children and the older adults who serve them. The project will deliver: (1) implementation plans for the new organizational structure; (2) an intensive communications and marketing strategy, including branding materials for the new organization; and (3) a three-year strategic and fund-raising plan.
