Evaluating the Transforming Care at the Bedside program (Phase 3)
The Foundation's program, Transforming Care at the Bedside, was designed to develop new interventions to improve the hospital work environment with the goal of improving the quality of care provided by nurses at the bedside.The purpose of this grant is to support an expansion in scope of the evaluation of the third phase of the Transforming Care at the Bedside (TCAB) program. This expansion will fund three sets of activities, which include: evaluating the participation of 68 hospitals in the TCAB program led by the American Organization of Nurse Executives (AONE); studying hospitals that were not a part of the formal TCAB program but still implemented its lessons and strategies; and evaluating the Web resource center.
