The Foundation's program, Healthy Kids, Healthy Communities: Supporting Community Action to Prevent Childhood Obesity, was designed to catalyze and support policy and environmental change projects to promote children's physical activity and healthy eating, especially in lower-income and racial/ethnic communities at greatest risk.This project is an Active Living by Design Sustainability Award, which is designed to support efforts to disseminate, sustain and/or institutionalize active living initiatives beyond the current ALbD funding. The purpose of this project is to create and implement a business plan for a "Luzerne County Active Outdoor Alliance." Deliverables include creating a business plan to identify the organization's purpose, goals, scope of work, structure, finances and evaluation criteria.
