The Foundation's program, Aligning Forces for Quality: The Regional Market Project, was designed to support grants and technical assistance to community coalitions to work toward high-quality, patient-centered and equitable care. The Foundation seeks to expand the number of Aligning Forces communities from the current 14 to no more than 20, and is currently working with two communities, New Jersey and Albuquerque, in a planning process as part of that expansion. The Foundation will achieve the remainder of the expansion through the following two-step process: (1) sixteen selected communities will be offered the opportunity to compete for a total of four, six-month planning phase grants; and (2) if the four communities that receive planning grants successfully complete the planning process, they will subsequently receive an invitation from RWJF to submit a proposal to participate in Aligning Forces. SRA International, Inc., will provide critical administrative support to the Foundation throughout the initial planning phase grant solicitation process. SRA International will help develop, test, and oversee the Grantmaking Online (GO) applicant and reviewer modules, support Webinars for applicants and reviewers, respond to applicant inquiries, manage the receipt of applicant proposals, coordinate reviewer activities and generate reports using GO. SRA will also oversee and update the www.AligningForces.org/Expansion program Web site and FAQs, support the Web conference meeting with National Advisory Committee members for full-stage proposal reviews and provide timeline, workplan and project management assistance for the entire span of the contract.
