The Foundation's Harold Amos Medical Faculty Development Program was designed to provide four-year postdoctoral research awards offered to historically disadvantaged physicians who are committed to developing careers in academic medicine, to improving the health of underserved populations, and to furthering the understanding and elimination of health disparities.This grant supports the national program office in providing technical assistance and direction for the Foundation's Harold Amos Medical Faculty Development Program. This is the 20th technical assistance and direction grant since the program's inception. It is anticipated that 12 new scholars will be awarded under this grant. This year the Harold Amos Medical Faculty Development Program will celebrate the 25th anniversary of the program with a special reunion and celebration at the annual meeting.
