The Foundation's program, Project HealthDesign: Rethinking the Power and Potential of Personal Health Records, was designed to expand a vision of personal health records and encourage the market to develop products that meet the diverse needs of patients.Under the current support from Project HealthDesign, T.R.U.E. Research Foundation is developing a prototype Personal Health Application (PHA) that coordinates the numerous components of diabetes self-management and provides decision support with actionable options for consumers. This transitional funding will be used to research and define a comprehensive set of rules and algorithms required to later develop a fully functioning "industry ready" version of the application. This project will also allow the grantee to explore ways in which its personal health application could interface with others being developed by other program grantees.
