Studying the effects of Medicaid reform on access to care, program sustainability and administrative efficiency in Kentucky and Idaho

The Foundation's program, State Health Access Reform Evaluation (SHARE), was designed to support research and evaluation of state health reform initiatives and develop an evidence base for future state and federal reform initiatives.This study grant will evaluate Medicaid reform initiatives in Kentucky and Idaho to understand plan administration, the impact on access to care, program costs, and the effects of particular aspects of the reforms. The study will use interview data, administrative enrollment and claims/encounters data.
