National conference on intimate partner violence and its impact on the workplace

This grant supports the organization of a national conference on intimate partner violence (IPV) and the workplace. The conference will be the first of its kind to bring together employers and Employee Assistance Program (EAP) providers to work together on an issue that affects up to 21 percent of women employees. EAPs are a potentially promising resource to prevent IPV and to care for its victims. The deliverables are: (1) to identify and highlight best practices and model programs for engaging EAPs and employers jointly in addressing IPV; and (2) to develop recommendations for further work in this area.
