Outreach materials for former Covering Kids & Families sites and others for Cover the Uninsured Week 2008

The Foundation's program, Covering Kids and Families, was designed to increase the number of eligible children and adults who are benefiting from federal and state health care coverage programs. This contract supports the printing of materials promoting a national toll-free hotline that parents can call to find out if their children are eligible to be enrolled in either Medicaid or the State Children's Health Insurance Program. These materials will be used by former Covering Kids and Families (CKF) coalitions and others as they conduct efforts aimed at enrolling children who are eligible for these programs but not enrolled. Since the closing of the CKF program, much of the work and material that was once available on the CKF Web site has been transitioned to the Cover the Uninsured Week (CTUW) Web site. These materials will be made available free of charge on the CTUW Web site and promoted to former CKF grantees and others as they conduct outreach and enrollment activities both during and after this year's CTUW. These materials serve not only to assist in enrollment but also to make it easier for RWJF former grantees to continue their work in this area without direct funding from RWJF.
