This grant supports communications activities that will further rapid replication and adoption of the Green House model throughout the U.S. as the nation's core, default nursing home rebuilding/repositioning strategy. Spreading understanding and support of the model's goals, feasibility, and outcomes is critical to the rapid recruitment of Green House replication projects. Activities will be managed by the Foundation with the assistance of Green House leadership. These activities include employing several of the "5 Cs" that characterize the Foundation's grant-making approaches--convening and coordinating efforts among potential collaborators; connecting Green House leadership with investors, payers, and other important constituencies; developing core messages and plans so that leadership can consistently communicate the model's vision for each key constituency; and deploying earned media and other outreach and dissemination strategies. This grant also includes support for branding, licensing, and purchasing marketing data that will help the Foundation identify key areas that are ripe for development of the Green House vision. The project is consistent with the Foundation's interest in identifying and replicating sustainable innovative models to improve health and health care.
