The Foundation's program, Injury Free Coalition for Kids: Dissemination of a Model Injury Prevention Program For Children and Adolescents, was designed to reduce and prevent injuries to children through a hospital-based, research-driven model, implemented in partnership with coalitions of community stakeholders. This grant will permit the Injury Free Coalition for Kids' National Program Office (NPO) to use funds remaining in the program's authorization to increase the percentage of NPO staff time during the final year of the program. The NPO's goal by the end of the program is to establish a free-standing, nonprofit organization which will be supported by membership funds.
