The Foundation's program, New Jersey Health Initiatives, was designed to support projects in New Jersey that develop new approaches to resolving the state's health care needs, focusing on the Foundation's goal areas.The purpose of this project is to train agencies that provide health care to women, increasing their ability to recognize violence and abuse perpetrated against women with disabilities and to provide appropriate and sensitive support/services to them. Training will also target women with disabilities, providing them with the skills and knowledge necessary to respond to threats of violence.
