The Foundation's program, Advancing Recovery: State/Provider Partnerships for Quality Addiction Care, was designed to support partnerships between treatment provider organizations that deliver care, and states that are in the unique role of being both the largest purchaser of publicly funded treatment services (70 percent) and regulators and licensers of those services. The purpose of this project is to improve quality of addiction care by supporting partnerships between treatment provider organizations that deliver care and states that are both the largest purchaser of publicly funded treatment services and regulators and licensers of those services. The grant will use known leverage points at the state and provider organization levels to overcome barriers to proven practices and increase their use. Deliverables will include grants to provider-state partnerships, a learning collaborative supported by a Web-based network to spread the learning and wider use of five categories of proven practice.
