Technical assistance and direction for RWJF's Finding Answers program

This grant provides support for a part-time communications staff person to assist the National Program Office (NPO) for Finding Answers: Disparities Research for Change to reach its objectives. Even though the the Foundation's Disparities team is primarily providing communications support to grantees through a centralized communications fund, it has been determined that some grantees still require some level of communications support at the ground level to refresh Web site content and other program-related communications materials. In addition, this position will provide communications support to Finding Answers grantees, on behalf of the NPO. The individual will play a key liaison role with the communications leads from the Foundation and other RWJF disparities-related programs, like Leading Change: Disparities Solutions Initiative. This person will work closely with RWJF and NPO staff to establish communications priorities, a timeline and budget, and will support the director in his role as national spokesperson. Finally, in close cooperation with RWJF, the communications coordinator will help create and oversee program materials development, the writing and distribution of issue briefs and press releases, and the development and maintenance of the NPO's Web site content.
