Creating private space for families and professionals adjacent to the rooms of chronically and terminally ill patients
The Foundation's program, Transforming Care at the Bedside, was designed to develop new interventions to improve the hospital work environment with the goal of improving the quality of care provided by nurses at the bedside.This grant supports the creation of a family conference room adjacent to patient rooms for end-of-life and chronically ill patients. It will also create a professional conference room for nursing and allied staff on the Transforming Care at the Bedside unit. The grant also supports the purchase of hands-free headsets for clerical staff which will enhance the work environment for those who are the hub of communications in the unit.
